IDEO Skincare was founded at the intersection of neuroscience and skin science, inspired by the research of Nobel-nominated neurochemist Dr. John P. Blass. With a background in Alzheimer’s research, Dr. Blass explored how mitochondrial energy influences cellular function, developing the R•G•M Complex to support brain cell metabolism.

When a personal experience with post-surgical scarring prompted further exploration, his research was adapted into a topical formulation — the R•M•A Complex™ — designed to support skin at the cellular level by targeting mitochondrial energy and oxidative stress. This marked the foundation of IDEO Skincare’s approach: applying principles of longevity science to skin health.
